Aleeta

Aleeta graduated from the Center for Natural Wellness School of Massage and has been practicing full time since 2008. Her philosophy is that the more bodywork you receive, the better you are able to detect when you need attention on specific areas. This also helps the body and mind connect so we can truly appreciate how they affect one another. This can then empower us to more proactive in learning how to take care of ourselves.

She believes that everything we do in our lives has the potential to create repetitive stress on our bodies and minds, and just the act of allowing time for self-care can help people figure out the puzzles of their daily actions and the postures it creates. Part of her treatment process is listening to what a client requests and intuitively working out the patterns by using her knowledge and experience to see how the body responds. Her specialty is the neck, shoulder, jaw, upper back, and arms, but looks forward to the opportunity with whatever is presented to try and bring healing and relief.

Amy

With the heart of an artist and a natural aptitude for touch, Amy blends the therapeutic with the transcendent to create a customized, rejuvenating massage experience based on your goal(s) and how your body is presenting that day. She has been a licensed massage therapist and bodyworker since 2007. Originally from WI, where the educational and testing standards are set to a high standard for the industry. Her shift towards natural healing and living began in college and led her to a Bachelor of Arts and a Certificate in the Study of Alternative and Complementary Medicine from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. With a dream of pursuing dance/movement therapy, Amy attended Blue Sky School of Professional Massage and Therapeutic Bodywork right after college at Grafton, WI where she chose the energy track and gravitated towards neuromuscular therapy and traditional Lomi Lomi Hawaiian massage as the foundation of her style. Over the years she has developed the skills to address specific needs (especially with the neck and hips), patiently and authentically sinking into the tissue and intuitively feeling the frame while smoothing it all out with long connecting strokes providing deep relief without unnecessary soreness. With years of experience and continuing education, she now strives for therapeutic artistry, with a dedication to her clients and craft. She also attended the Nutrition Therapy Practitioner program. Amy has training in massage for people living with cancer and the John F. Barnes Approach for Myofascial Release which has been a full circle transition into mind-body based therapy, and has created significant depth to her bodywork. She loves to move and enjoys helping you to do the same so whether you are looking to relax or establish a routine, you can rely on Amy for consistently high-quality sessions.

Ana

Ana graduated from Emily Griffith Technical college to become a Licensed Massage Therapist and is also a Licensed Esthetician. She feels that listening to clients about what is happening to their bodies is the most important part of massage so she can advise them on which technique would work best for their individual needs. Ana’s favorite part of being a massage therapist is helping people alleviate their pain so they can feel better in their day-to-day lives. She originally got into massage to help clients improve their posture as a way to eliminate painful habits. She would describe her massage style as being strong but serene; helping her clients relax is important so she creates a calm setting. Ana’s areas of specialization include the upper back, hips, glutes, hamstrings, and neck.

When not working on clients Ana enjoys traveling, baking, photography, sports, and spending time with her family.

When Carena was a child, her mother told her that her hands contained heat and heart. Now she has honed this gift to bring you unparalleled relief and wellness through the power of touch. She also enjoys connecting with amazing souls that all want some ease from the pain and stress they carry.

Emma graduated from Finger Lakes School of Massage in Ithaca, NY. She has a passion for healing and helping others. Emma’s massage sessions can have a variety of pressure levels from gentle to deep tissue. Each session is completely tailored to the client’s needs but drawn up from her tried and true techniques and intuition. She believes in relaxing the nervous system initially so that the body doesn’t fight deeper work, and the muscles can be worked even more. Her clients’ favorite areas of her massage are the upper back and neck areas, hips, and glutes. Emma also has a reiki 1 certification and loves energy work and crystal healing. Also, she’s in the process of completing Yoga Teacher Training that she uses to continue to help her massage clients’ self-care and stretch routines. She believes everyone deserves the right to feel at ease in their bodies. If she’s not doing yoga, making art, or massaging she’s definitely out in the mountains enjoying nature!

Erin

Erin graduated from the Colorado School of Healing Arts and focused on deep tissue, myofascial, Swedish, trigger point release, and sports massage. She offers a version of Swedish massage combined with myofascial work, and with a focus on the autonomic nervous system. The body is synergistic, so Erin’s goal is to engage the body’s parasympathetic response by increasing awareness through body-mind connection. She believes meaningful change comes when bodywork is done patiently and intentionally. She describes her massage as intentional, intuitive, integrative, and meditative. She loves creating a safe and welcoming space for clients to let go and allow their healing to be the first priority.

Growing up in a home that encouraged more holistic healing, a seed was planted in Erin’s mind at a young age. Her experiences with traditional healing in massage and acupuncture further solidified her beliefs over time. Years later, she had a life-changing massage that opened her eyes to the healing potential of intentional touch, and led Erin to pursue massage therapy as a career so she could provide the same nonjudgemental healing space to others. A teacher once told Erin, “Our body is a book we spend our entire life writing.” She wants her clients to feel empowered in their bodies. Erin is here to be a conduit to your personal healing journey.

Jared (JJ)

Jared (JJ) is a Licensed Massage Therapist with over 10 years of experience. He received his certification at Central State Massage Academy in Oklahoma and also has a B.S. in Kinesiology – Exercise Fitness from the University of Central Oklahoma. This combination of training gives him a good understanding of the human body and how it all works together. JJ likes to work on the body as a whole because tension in one area can lead to tightness in another area. He describes his style as a Swedish and Deep Pressure mix; firmer pressure to work out knots but still relaxing.

JJ loves being a Massage Therapist and helping people feel their best. He tries to live by the mantra, “Take care of your body and your body will take care of you.”

“This was the best massage I’ve had in a long time (and I am no stranger to massages). I’ve had the whole range from terrible to creepy to amazing and this was at the top. You can choose your pressure level and aroma fragrance. I choose deep pressure and that was exactly what I got. Jason

Jason graduated from the Colorado School of Healing Arts. He has always had a passion for helping others heal and reach their highest potential. He was drawn to massage as he recognizes the power of touch and the role it can play in improving an individual’s well-being. He has developed an integrative style of massage, combining a variety of modalities including Swedish, deep tissue and sports massage techniques and can give all levels of pressure. Additionally, he has training in neuromuscular, myofascial release and seated massage and is dedicated to continuing his education in other modalities to better serve his clients.

It is important to Jason to meet each of his clients where they are at and design each massage to best suit his client’s needs for that particular session. Whether it is to simply unwind and relax, or to work on a specific issue, he is here for you. His hope for each session is to provide a warm and welcoming environment, which facilitates relaxation, tranquility and healing of the body, mind and spirit.

Jenny graduated from the Cottonwood School of Massage Therapy where she studied sports massage, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, CST, Reiki, Swedish, myofascial release. During her treatments, Jenny feels and watches the client’s structure to locate tension. She then uses the pressure that is best received by the client’s muscles while observing what level is creating the best relaxation response. She also works with her clients based on their expressed pressure needs and technique preferences. Jenny would describe her work as connected, intentional, and nurturing. She also enjoys working on the body as a whole unit.

Jenny was deeply inspired after receiving massage for a back injury and decided it was a path she wanted to pursue. She works best when she feels she’s helping her clients in a meaningful way.

Kayla

Kayla graduated from Emily Griffith Technical College and is currently a licensed massage therapist in Colorado. Kayla found her passion for massage therapy to provide comfort and relief for her sister, who is diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Her enthusiasm for massage shows through her focused style. She specializes in working on the neck and shoulders and is determined to help relieve tension headaches and poor posture. She prioritizes mental health and wellbeing through naturalistic means, providing a different option for a person’s health. She also specializes in integrative massage, hot stones, and deep Swedish.

In her free time, Kayla enjoys drawing and graphic design, going to concerts, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family.

KJ

KJ graduated from Emily Griffith Technical College. She discovered her love of Massage Therapy in Colorado as well as the beautiful outdoors. KJ can provide various levels of pressure but has the ability to provide very deep pressure. She is also a stretch enthusiast. Lower back and hips are definitely her best and favorite areas. Most of her massages are an ideal balance of therapy and relaxation tailored to the client’s needs. KJ has a great therapeutic instinct and a relaxing touch that often results in repeat clients.

La graduated from the ATI Career Training Center in Texas and has been practicing massage since 2008. They are trained in Swedish, deep tissue, prenatal, hot salt stones, and cupping. People would describe their style as relaxing but effective, fluid, intuitive, and enjoyable. La loves focusing on the different needs of their clients, but they are very good at opening up the pecs and counteracting overstretched backs from tech overuse.

La got into massage because they love working with their hands and helping people. They understand that life can be rough and sometimes we all need a little help to ease the weight of the world.

Lexye

Lexye graduated from the Berkana Institute of Massage Therapy in 2014. She would describe her massage style as including lots of spreading and slow focused strokes. She incorporates pin/stretch techniques as well as stretching. There is movement throughout her sessions which gives it a dynamic feel, but she tries to make it as relaxing as possible so the muscles can receive therapeutic benefits. Lexye would also say her massages are elongating, thoughtful, and intuitive.

Lexye’s passion for massage started when she was working in a nursing home and she was able to see how people who took care of their bodies aged more comfortably vs. the people who weren’t able to keep up with their self care. She wanted to help people move and have better posture for as long as possible. She also enjoys the art of bodywork coming together with the science of human anatomy.

LuAnn

LuAnn graduated from the Potomac Massage Training Institute. She also completed a course in Soft Tissue Injury Assessment and Treatment with Ben Benjamin at the Muscular Therapy Institute in 1996. She also attended the University of Colorado – Denver and received a BS in Biology, with an emphasis in evolution and genetics. Her massage style has been described by her clients as both deep and relaxing at the same time. She enjoys customizing each session to address the needs of her clients. LuAnn would describe her massage style as focused, client-centered, and intuitive. She completed a training program in teaching Pilates, so she is fascinated by the importance of the core of the body. She enjoys helping people with imbalance in the core muscles, lower back, and hip function.

LuAnn literally stumbled into massage. She enjoyed giving friends impromptu shoulder massages, and received a lot of compliments. A colleague of hers showed her an ad for a local massage school in Washington, DC, and said, “I think you need to do this!” The rest is history. She loves that every client and every day has different challenges. A book that has inspired her is “Life as a Daymaker,” which is about extending kindness and compassion, and serving people. Making peoples’ day her brand!

Mason

Mason graduated from the Colorado School of Healing Arts where he studied deep tissue, neuromuscular therapy, sports massage, cupping, and hot stones. He describes his massage as goal oriented and integrative. He usually starts with Swedish strokes and then moves into broad pressure strokes. After that, he’ll get into some targeted stretching and neuromuscular work followed by more Swedish techniques. Mason would call his style intuitive, integrative, relaxing, and therapeutic. His areas of specialty are the glutes, hips, neck, and shoulders. Mason is very passionate about working with bigger bodied clients. It is important to him to create a body neutral space where clients of all body types can feel comfortable and confident enough to receive therapeutic work. Part of the way he does this is to actively find ways to perform assisted stretching and make treatment plans safe and accessible to all clients regardless of body size or activity level.

Mason has always had the desire to help people, and he has always been interested in anatomy and physiology. He also does better when he’s working with his hands than when he’s sitting at a desk. He loves that he is continually learning new things about the body and how to make a measurable difference in people’s day-to-day lives. Mason loves that he is helping people. His favorite thing is watching the difference between when a client walks into the treatment room and how they walk out. It’s rewarding to see the immediate difference that therapeutic massage can make.

Maya

Maya graduated from Denver Integrative Massage School where she studied Thai Yoga massage, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy and Swedish massage. She enjoys incorporating acupressure, stretching and sport techniques with deep tissue modalities. Her style consists of blending slow, focused work that relieves muscle tension and addresses chronic pain patterns with a flowing rhythm for deep relaxation. She is passionate about cultivating a supportive space, listening to the body and providing a rejuvenating experience for the client. She specializes in therapeutic work on are the shoulder girdle, low back and neck.

She discovered bodywork through her background in dance, which also sparked her journey in the healing arts. She is continuing her education with Ashiatsu and somatic bodywork. She has a B.A. in Environmental Biology from Barnard College and is currently training as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. In her free time she enjoys hiking, gardening, writing and practicing yoga.

Opal graduated from Emily Griffith Technical College. She specializes in therapeutic bodywork and injury recovery. She believes that true therapeutic work includes stimulating a parasympathetic response and should never sacrifice relaxation. Opal likes to take a full body approach when time allows, but considers the neck, shoulders, and hips to be her specialty areas. She would describe her work as deep, integrative, relaxing, and therapeutic.

Opal was drawn to massage as a way to provide an alternative to prescription medication for pain management. She enjoys the process of working with clients through injury and trauma and helping to facilitate their journey to recovery.

Rae

Rae graduated from Colorado School of Healing Arts. Her passion for helping others began when she was a young girl rescuing injured animals. She was pursuing a path in nursing, but quickly realized she wanted to be able to help people more holistically and that massage therapy was the best way to help those in pain. She is a big believer in working with the body and not against it. Because of this, her massage style tends to be slow so that she can listen to the muscles and let them respond to therapeutic touch before moving to the next area. She really enjoys doing focus work that involves working through specific issues such as lower back pain, shoulder and neck pain, or any other specific area of tension. She also likes working with prenatal and postpartum clients. She has training in various modalities including Gua Sha, Swedish, Prenatal, Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular, and Myofascial Release.

Outside of massage, Rae likes to read, learn about interesting topics, spend time outside, and spend time with her family and cats.

Rae is also one of our Front Desk Associates at the Denver/Washington Park/Bonnie Brae studio. You’ll see her helping clients get checked in or checked out after a massage.

Tracy

Tracy graduated from the Massage Therapy Institute of Colorado. She describes her massage style as ranging from gentle strokes to firmer muscle work. Each session is custom designed to the client’s preferences and needs to address the pain and tension caused by everyday stress. She wants to create a comfortable, warm, and safe environment for thoughts to fade, the mind to go inward, and allow the body to release. Tracy feels that massage is compassionate work and wants the experience to be meditative, relaxing, and therapeutic. Her specialties include helping the body manage the toll of everyday stress, head/neck/jaw, shoulders, and lower back and hips.

Tracy got into massage after looking for relief from lower back pain. Massage therapy helped her pain and she never looked back. Her goal is to help people notice how everyday stress can take a toll on the body and to have them leave her sessions feeling more like themselves. It is important to her that she addresses the whole body, mind, and soul to understand the roots of chronic pain and tension. She wants to use the mind-body connections to stimulate the body’s own dose of happiness to help relieve pain and invite joy.

Tracy also has a BS in Zoology from Colorado State University and an MA in Special Education, from the University of Northern Colorado.

Bernetta

Bernetta graduated from the Denver School of Massage Therapy. She discovered massage therapy after a debilitating car accident. She fell in love with the modalities that restructure the muscles and have the ability to relieve years of trauma. Her specialties include deep tissue, myofascial release, structural, injury treatment (especially frozen shoulder), and post-surgery massage. She also does cranialsacral therapy, reflexology, cupping, and prenatal massage. Bernetta is also an anatomy nerd and is constantly adding to her knowledge of the human body.

Bernetta started a self-study program on the nervous system and the muscles that impinge nervous tissue, and this increased knowledge has been instrumental in decreasing pain for hundreds of her clients. She has a quality of touch that is hard to duplicate. She likes to say, “It may not be the most comfortable time you spend with a massage therapist, but you WILL feel better in the long run.” She brings multiple years of experience to the team and absolutely loves her career as an LMT.

Heather

Heather graduated from the Colorado School of Healing Arts where she was trained in Swedish, advanced light Swedish, deep tissue, neuromuscular, and sports. She specializes in deep tissue and neuromuscular work but she also understands that the mind sometimes needs to relax. She tries to balance relaxation with therapeutic work. Heather would describe her massage style as trauma informed, therapeutic, and client centered. Her favorite areas to work on include the back, neck, and shoulders.

Heather got into massage because her mom has multiple sclerosis. Growing up, Heather watched her struggle with it and wanted to comfort her. If there were any way she could bring her comfort Heather knew it would be through massage. It’s no surprise that Heather’s favorite thing about massage is helping people with their specific needs. Heather is also an aerial acrobat so she understands how hard athletes can be on their bodies.

Iris

Iris graduated from the Boulder School of Massage. She has decades of experience and has continued her education through the years adding many skills to her practice through the years. At Renew Massage Studio, Iris draws her medical knowledge and highly perceptive touch to provide her clients lymphatic drainage massage, reflexology, and/or craniosacral therapy. Her lymphatic sessions can provide relief from swelling, inflammation, and abdominal discomfort associated with PCOS, crohn’s disease, and endometriosis. Her craniosacral work induces a deep relaxed state which can assist with emotional trauma, the effects of impact trauma (concussions and whiplash), and migraines. Besides the comfort of a good foot rub, reflexology allows Iris to affect other areas of the body by working meridians and pressure points in the feet which can be especially useful for those who may have health conditions limiting their ability to receive full body massage. Through each of these unique modalities Iris provides her clients comprehensive and compassionate care that supports them long after they leave her table. She specializes in Lymphatic Drainage, Craniosacral Therapy, and Reflexology.

Mary is a LMT from the mountains of Colorado and the hills of Ohio. She graduated from the Colorado School of the Healing Arts where she was trained in Neuromuscular, Sports, Swedish and Aromatherapy techniques. Her massage is adaptive and magnetic and aims to reach deeply as a process of discovery and relief. She loves to work in detail on special areas of need as well in a broad and artistic sense depending on the intent and need of each of her clients.

Tammy

Tammy graduated from the Great Lakes Institute of Technology in Erie, Pennsylvania and has been offering intuitive, deep tissue, pain relieving, and function improving massage since the fall of 2000. She has since taken courses on pregnancy massage, myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy, essential oils, META MVMT exercise theory, health coaching from the IIN (Institute for Integrative Nutrition), and wellness counseling from ECornell. She is also currently studying herbalism with Aviva Romm.

The practice of Massage has been life changing for Tammy’s own experience of her body; healing from illness, accidents, and injury in a sustainable manner while creating more health as she went along. Tammy is skilled at discovering the appropriate approaches to release what no longer serves in the muscles through a combination of Trigger Point, Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular & Craniosacral approaches. She also supports the client’s experience of relaxation, by listening to the needs expressed and assessing the feedback the body communicates while in session.

Tammy has spent the last 20 years studying health and wellness, seeking ways to improve the experience we have of our bodies, through education that can impact the choices we make each day. She is currently studying Herbalism to discover even more ways to support the body through natural means. Tammy also offers one-on-one Holistic Food, Movement, & Wellness Coaching towards that goal, specializing in perimenopausal and menopausal women at her online practice, Queen City Holistic Wellness.

She is an avid hiker, loves photographing nature, dancing like there’s no one watching, singing & playing her ukulele, gardening, tea & potion making, creating krauts and kombucha while finding the everyday magic that life provides.

Tobey graduated from the Colorado School of Healing Arts. They have also trained in Reiki I and II, sports and deep tissue massage, neuromuscular, and lymphatic massage for an integrated and intuitive massage style. Tobey’s specialty is a meditative massage, starting with listening to the client’s needs, for a personalized session to relieve body pain and mental stress, through a variety of massage modalities.

Tobey chose massage as their second career out of a desire to help people live more fully and completely in their bodies. As they have grown in this career, a favorite part of massage is simply making people happy! There’s nothing like a massage to give the body and mind a safe place to relax. They would describe their massage style as meditative, relaxing, pain-relieving, holistic.

Adrianne began her journey in bodywork when she was just 18. At the time, She wasn’t sure why she was being led to the healing arts, but a constellation of fates seemed to guide her in that direction. As it turned out, Adrianne discovered she had the ability to be extremely present with her clients, attune her touch with above-average intuition, and facilitate a deeply peaceful environment. Above all, she fell in love with the work! Adrianne received her certification from Healing Hands School of Holistic Health in Southern California and has worked in exceptional clinics across Southern California, the Bay Area, and Colorado. She’s been blessed with the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients and prides herself on her ability to help any person feel comfortable in their own skin.

Adrianne is well-practiced in many modalities, including Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Neuromuscular, Swedish, and Sports, but finds that those who like a slow, deep, and connected massage are her most consistent clientele. She continues to believe in massage because of the obvious healing power she has witnessed in her clients, and also because of its irreplaceable role as the oldest healing modality in the world. Adrianne feels blessed by being able to offer her time and talents to the world of hands-on healing.

Emily

Emily graduated from the Emily Griffith Technical College Massage Therapy Program in 2019. She excelled as a student and worked on clients in the school clinic, practicing a variety of techniques and modalities including deep tissue, prenatal, cupping, hydrotherapy, and hot stones. Emily also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy from Fort Lewis College where she discovered her interest in ethics. She believes that we cannot be our best without taking care of ourselves physically, mentally, and emotionally, and believes that massage can play a significant role in bettering all of these areas of our lives.

A typical massage with Emily includes a mixture of slow, relaxing techniques combined with deeper, more specific work on focus areas. If you’re looking for an overall feeling of deep relaxation but still want that knot that’s been bothering you worked out, Emily is the therapist for you. She allows her intuition and compassion for her clients to guide her through each session and makes informed and thorough treatment plans unique to each client’s specific needs.

When Emily is not giving a massage, you can find her on a mountain or lounging in one of her many flower or vegetable gardens.

Vicki McCoy graduated from the Colorado School of Healing Arts in 1993 as a massage therapist. Over the years she has continued her education becoming certified in LaStone Therapy and The MyoKinestheic System. She has also studied essential oil applications and cupping. Massage Therapy is in Vicki’s blood and she loves seeing the positive results people receive from massage. Her massage style incorporates a little of everything she has picked up over the years but she really tries to customize her massage to what the clients wants and needs. Vicki has worked for several bike events, at an athletic club and owned her own practice where she focused on working with people injured in auto accidents.
