All of our therapists are licensed Massage Therapists by Colorado’s Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA), are Insured, and have experience in the massage field.
We expect our therapists to effectively communicate with you and we ask that you do the same with them. Let us know what you like and do not like. Be sure to communicate your pressure preferences and speak up if you would like more or less pressure. Be sure to let them know if something hurts, is uncomfortable, or isn’t what you expected because your time with us should be rejuvenating and relaxing. If you do feel you have had a subpar experience please contact us by phone at 303.990.0841 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will see if we can remedy the situation to everyone’s satisfaction.
No, however, please be sure to speak to your doctor and obtain clearance from the doctor to receive massage on any affected areas.
The best approach would be to browse our Therapist profiles on our website. They can give you a better idea of their specialties and knowledge so you can pick the therapist that best suits you. Not sure who to pick? Send us an email at email@example.com or give us a call at 303.990.0841 and we can help you decide what might be best.
We use hypoallergenic and organic massage creams from a local company called Zen Organics. We find this to be the best and safest product out there. For oils, we use Rocky Mountain Essentials which are some of the highest quality available and we also have Tiger Balm Liniment upon request. Our infused lotion is made from our Nut Free Zen Organics lotion and an infused distillate from a local Colorado company.
It is perfectly OK and safe to fall asleep during a massage. If you fall asleep, it won’t be a waste. Your nervous system still regulates. Your cortisol levels still drop. Your muscle tissue and ligaments still soften, release, and let go. The manipulation of joints still gives way to more space, and the lymphatic and circulatory systems are still stimulated.
Women can begin massage therapy at any point in their pregnancy. Studies indicate that massage therapy performed during pregnancy can reduce anxiety, decrease symptoms of depression, relieve muscle aches and joint pains, and improve labor outcomes and newborn health.
Your Therapist will ask you to undress to your level of comfort. Many people prefer to keep their underwear on during a massage, while others prefer to be nude. It’s up to you. If you do remove your underwear, our Therapists must ensure that you are always properly covered/draped by a sheet.
Since most clients will be naked or in their underwear while on the treatment table, you should wear clothing that is easy to remove before your massage and easy to put back on when the massage is over. Loose, comfortable clothing is our usual recommendation.
Open communication with your Therapist is key to a massage that meets your needs. If you have an injury or chronically tight or painful areas, be sure that your therapist is aware of it before the start of the session. If the pressure is too intense, tell your Therapist immediately so he or she can ease up. Our Therapists are trained to adjust to your pressure preferences throughout the entire session.
Although a tip is never required, a 20% tip is standard if you were pleased with the service. If you were given a gift certificate or purchased a discounted session, a tip based on the original price is customary. Of course, you are welcome to leave any tip that you feel is appropriate whether it is higher or lower than 20%.
