Minor Client Massage

Before a minor receives a massage, explicit consent from a parent or legal guardian is required. This consent involves completing and signing a health history form. A consultation will occur at the beginning of each and every session with your massage therapist to understand the minor’s health history, treatment goals, and discuss any concerns. Open communication is very important with your massage therapist.

A detailed consultation will be conducted with the minor and their parent/guardian to understand the minor’s health history, treatment goals, and any concerns. Open communication will be maintained with the minor and their parent/guardian to discuss progress and any adjustments in treatment.

Things to be aware of:

• The minor’s privacy will be respected at all times. Proper draping techniques will be used during the massage.
• A parent or guardian must be present in the room for clients under the age of 13. 
• For clients aged 13-17, the parent/guardian may be present in the room based on the preference of the minor and their parent/guardian.
  
• The minor and/or the parent/guardian has the right to request a stop or modification to the massage at any point. Their comfort and boundaries are our top priority.
• Any concerns regarding the welfare of a minor client will be taken seriously and reported according to state laws and regulations.
