Reiki, which means guided life force energy, is a Japanese form of energy work used to improve the flow and balance of energy within the body. This light-touch, hands-on technique promotes relaxation, stress and pain reduction, feelings of well-being and improved sleep. Reiki is founded on the belief that “universal energy” is within the body and also in the air that surrounds us. The Reiki practitioner acts as a conduit to direct the energy into the body. Reiki can be a stand-alone session or combined with other modalities.
