
What inspired you to become a massage therapist?
I wanted to help my mom relieve her back and foot pain due to arthritis
What is your favorite modality or service to perform?
I really enjoy doing a deep tissue massage with salt stones or CBD
What kind of massage do you like to receive?
I like to have a mix of deep tissue and Swedish massage done to relieve my stress and anxiety
What do you love about being a massage therapist?
I love seeing my clients pain levels decrease over time and the happiness that emerges from them being able to live their lives
How did you get into massage and bodywork?
I had a spa-day with my aunt for one of my birthdays and got my first massage with hot stones, and I loved the way I felt afterwards
What does a typical session with you consist of?
I like to find and target specific trigger points and areas of stress in the body that are causing pain discomfort, as well as focus on body structure by using deep, slow, stretches to help realign the muscles and aid in them achieving optimal function. I also like to help with overall relaxation and blood flow to relieve mental stress.
Do you have any success stories over the years of being a massage therapist?
I had a client come in after a bad car wreck. He could not move his arm above his head, and was having a hard time holding his young daughter. After weekly massages for 3 months, I helped him get his arm above his head and moving, and he even went on a beach vacation with his family shortly after and had pictures of him holding his daughter above his head and in the water, and playing on the beach in general. It was satisfying to see him enjoying the small moments in life again, and seeing the happiness come back to his face.
When you’re out having fun, what are you doing?
I like to go to Comic Cons, Renaissance Faires, and Cosplaying events.
How do you prioritize self-care and well-being as a massage therapist?
I always have some time to myself where I can stretch and practice deep breathing exercises. I also take regular Epsom salt baths and keep a good skincare routine.
